Kinsol Trestle Address: Glen Eagles Rd, Shawnigan Lake, BC V0R 2W0

This a must see spot on Vancouver Island, it is absolutely beautiful. It is a great walk people of all ages and even dogs too. If you walk to the far side of the trestle, there is a accessible path for swimming. *NOTE water has fast moving sections, so be aware of the currents and undertides.

The Kinsol Trestle was first built in 1911 and completed 1925 for mining and logging trains and transportation. Through the years the trestle has been subject to serious damage from floods to fires. In 2012 the trestle was rehabilitated into a tourist/trail for the community to enjoy.

The grvaol trail is around 1.2km to get to the trestle from the parking lot. Bathrooms are only located at the parking lot area, be sure to stop here before you start the trail. Horses are also welcome on the trail.

What To bring - Picnic, Water (there is no where to get water on trail), Camera, Suncreen and walk shoes.
